Adobe has added an online and free edition to its Photoshop application range, called Photoshop Express.
The idea behind Photoshop Express is to present a very easy to use online photo editing experience, offering tools such as resize, tint, distort, cartoon coloring, and sketch . Adobe has also taken into account the popularity of social networking and has implemented the ability to upload and download photos directly from the most popular networks into Photoshop Express.
A gallery feature has also been implemented that allows you to share the photos you have with others.

What was once thought to be an amazing feat of computer Kung Fu has turned out to be nothing more than money changing hands. It was recently reported that graffiti artist Skullphone had hacked into 10 digital billboards in Southern Califonia that were owned by Clear Channel and placed his logo in the regular rotation of ads. Unfortunately, this turned out to be false.
In reality, Skullphone had apparently paid money to Clear Channel for displaying his logo on their digital signs for one day.

Nuance Communications is putting some hands-free voice control into the Palm Treo and Centro smartphones. The Treo 755p from Verizon Wireless and the Centro from AT&T will both be loaded with Nuance VSuite. In addition to these models, the VSuite software is also supported on all Palm OS based Palm Treo smartphones.
VSuite gives users the ability to use their voice to dial by name, dial by number, address messages, look up contacts, and launch applications. If you want even more voice control, then Nuance offers a subscription service appropriately called Nuance Voice Control.

Here is something that artists of the future will definitely be sporting. Okay, perhaps “sporting” isn’t a very artsy term, but it definitely looks like something artists would have, because it looks like a palette. So far, this is Palette-Digital artist is only a concept, but a good looking entry to the Mircosoft NextGen PC Design Competition. All connections to the port are wireless, and there is even a DVD drive designed with it. The only difference between this and a real palette is no one paints on the palette. Too bad the design does not come with a digital canvas, but it does have some interesting looking “paintbrushes”. For example, I’m guessing that what we’re seeing here is some really cool Paint program. (Read the full post about ‘Palette-Digital Artist Handheld PC’…)

How many times has your MP3 player died on you while you were rocking out far from home? I’m sure it’s happened at least a few times, and depending on your mp3 player, you were probably out of luck until you got home to recharge it. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could just turn a hand crank a few times and have it charged again? I’m actually not really sure what I think of this, at least for me. I have a fancy iPod Touch, so something like this would be a bit basic for me. However, if you need only a basic player with 1GB of storage, this might be perfect for you. If you’re the kind of person that really cares about your impact on the environment, you’ll really love it, since it is powered solely by the hand crank. Don’t you just love folks who have that streak of genius in them? They tend to come up with the wackiest inventions even Einstein would be proud of. The Wiimote Extreme LED mod is one of them, featuring an array of bedazzling lights to keep you mesmerized and entertained. There is always something about lights co-ordinating with music to keep one’s attention transfixed, and it all started from Pac-man all those years ago.

A new Apple job ad implies that handwriting recognition is coming to the iphone. The position, for a Handwriting Recognition Engineer, mentions both OS X and the iPhone. Right now, it is possible to use a tablet and pen to write on your Mac using the Inkwell application that comes pre-installed, but it’s an exercise in frustration. The touch-screen on the iPhone, however, would be a perfect place for handwriting recognition. And even if it works as badly as Inkwell, it’ll still be better than the current on-screen keyboard.
