These humorous little speakers use little chat bubbles to emit sound. Making the design seem much more witty and chic than my normal computer speakers. All they do is sit there, they don’t even look cool. I’m going to have to hang my head in shame now. All these novelty speakers are making me look entirely too normal. My keyboard glows though, that’s cool right? Three different colors too, I don’t need interesting speakers. No, I have a glowing keyboard. (Read the full post about ‘The Speak-er speaker’…)

Sharp and VMJ are collaborating to come up with the largest commercial 3D display in the world - measuring 65″ and featuring 1,920 x 1,080 resolution to wow passers-by in retail stores. It comes with a 120-degree viewing angle which is definitely lower than other monitors as well as LCD TVs, but those can’t have vivid images that jump right at ya. Not to mention the insane high price of $30,000 each, strictly placing this in the domain of shopping centers and high-tech companies who want to wow their clients. Westinghouse TX-52F480S 52-inch LCD Summer might not seem the most compelling time to spring for a new HDTV, what with Lost, Battlestar Galactica, and 30 Rock on hiatus. On the other hand, it’s baseball season; the fantastic Mad Men returns July 27; and if you’ve made the plunge, there’s a perfectly good Blu-ray drive in your PS3. So screw the outdoors and spend those warm summer nights with the Westinghouse TX-52F480S. This glorious 52-inch LCD absolutely dazzles with—sorry, what? Yes, Westinghouse. Really, yes, the light-bulb company. It turns out they make TVs, too. In fact, they’ve made a flippin’ sweet TV — one that looks as pin-up sexy when it’s off as it does when it’s on and pumping out 1080p high-def goodness. Microsoft aims to impart manners on your mobile device by creating device manners policy (DMP), and the company is pretty intent on patenting it as well. Such policy may be used to communicate to various mobile and other devices the “manners” with which compliance is expected or required. Similar to some of the social manners honored among people, such as with “no smoking” or “employees only” zones, “no swimming” or “no flash photography” areas, and scenarios for “please wash your hands” or “no talking out loud”, devices may recognize and comply with analogous “device manners” policy. Basically, there hasn’t been a lot of information known about the Samsung i900, just spy shots and some other uninformative pics. However, recently a Chinese website has released some better looking pictures and some more information regarding the Samsung i900. So far, it is set to come with a 3.5-inch touchscreen display with a 240 x 400 WQVGA resolution, a 5-megapixel camera, quadband GSM, 3G HSDPA with speeds measuring up to 7.2 Mbps, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 16GB of internal hard disk space. All of these specs seem to be really nice and high end, you can’t really find similar specs in normal, average GPS. As we expected Mozilla has made the next early-adopter release of Firefox 3 available for download. The latest is Firefox 3 RC2 and although the release notes are a little light on the exact updates, its safe to say they have taken care of the issues that were found during the testing of Firefox 3 RC1. This latest download of RC2 is expected to be the last early release and the full, final Firefox 3 is still on track for a June availability. I have been using RC2 since last night, and was able to update from RC1 without any issues, similar to the last few versions of FF3 it has been stable so far. However, a little friendly warning, as always take caution with any beta or pre-release software. (Read the full post about ‘Mozilla offers up Firefox 3 Release Candidate 2′…)

The Nereus water craft is definitely something a Stormtrooper would look at home in, thanks to the ambitious design by Mathias Koehler. It relies on wave power to get around, so you won’t have to worry about ever increasing fuel prices while having your fun out in the sun. Steering is achieved through foot pedals, while the diving function is handled via the hand grips which in turn control pivoting fins located at the base. Makes me wonder how this thing is going to stop though - it sure as heck doesn’t come with any anchor, that’s for sure. (Read the full post about ‘Nereus Water Craft’…)
