Clove 2 Glove

Clove 2 Glove
The Clove 2 Glove might sound rather foreign to you, but in reality it is a Bluetooth data input interface, helping one “type” without having to use a standard keyboard as key strokes are achieved through finger movements. As for your computer, it will register this as a Bluetooth HID device, letting a specific software translate your finger movements into keyboard strokes. I wonder what the learning curve will be like, and will it actually let us break the current typing speeds achievable on a regular keyboard? This glove is DIY, so make sure you have the technical know-how to attempt a project such as this. (Read the full post about ‘Clove 2 Glove’…)

FiiO headphone amp

FiiO headphone amp
The FiiO headphone amp is a pretty interesting device despite not looking like much at first glance. Most people will probably even think that this is a crap device, but hear me out for a moment. Apparently, the FiiO amp offers some pretty decent audio quality, and being slightly larger than the AAA battery that powers it, the portability it another big plus in my books. At a mere $8.50 a pop, this low price would seal the deal for me. If you’re one who listens to most of your music through a pair of headphones, then getting the FiiO headphone amp sounds like the logical step to take before you upgrade to a more powerful pair. TaylorMade Spider precision putter

TaylorMade Spider precision putter
If you want to get better at golf, why not obtain some help from the Spider precision putter from TaylorMade? The company is proud to claim that the clubface itself is extremely well-balanced, that shots hit off the toe or heel end up closer to the cup compared to any of its competitors. It is interesting to note that tests have shown even misfired putts on purpose do defy logic and head nearer the cup instead. Move over, Tiger Woods, with the Spider precision putter, I’m going to see you off at St. Andrews next year. (Read the full post about ‘TaylorMade Spider precision putter’…)

DeepNote Guitar Hero bot ‘watches’ the game, rocks you within an inch of your life

DeepNote Guitar Hero bot ‘watches’ the game, rocks you within an inch of your life
by Joshua Topolsky, posted Jul 14th 2008 at 1:32AM We’ve seen a lot of Guitar Hero bots in our time, but we’re pretty certain that Mechanized Rock’s take on shredding automatons is something special. The system — dubbed DeepNote — actually watched the on-screen action with “eyes” that it uses to analyze notes, which the bot then plays in real-time. Using photodiodes aimed at the screen, the components pick up changes in light within eight nanoseconds, then converts that information to brazen, parent-shocking, full-throttle rock n’ roll. As you well know, pictures say a thousand words (and video is prone to run-on sentences), so watch DeepNote in action in the clip after the break. Samsung SGH-J700

Samsung SGH-J700
Trusted Reviews has a review of the Samsung SGH-J700 and writes, “This is a slider handset and its looks are pretty standard in comparison to some of Samsung’s mobiles. It doesn’t have a touchscreen and isn’t amazingly tiny, nor does it have a fancy mega-sophisticated camera and in fact it doesn’t claim to be super-duper at anything…At 1.3-megapixels this is actually more entry-level than mid-range. As you would expect its performance isn’t wonderful. Over exposure is its key problem I discovered and it is a biggie.” Read more about the Samsung SGH-J700.
