OK, this is something new. In the first place, I did not know that owls had any sort of healing properties, be it their hoots or otherwise. Which begs me to ask this question - what the heck is a Healing USB Owl? Apparently this $22 USB-powered gadget claims to possess a ‘mysterious healing power’, and after parting with your hard earned money for it I doubt you will be any closer to discovering its healing power, leaving it to be perpetually mysterious. It is available in pink, brown, gray and white colors. Tags: robots, PDA, tests, consumer technology (Read the full post about ‘Healing USB Owl’…)

The Carver One is one unique vehicle, and here’s a hands-on report on how it feels like to actually drive one. Its compact design and fuel-efficiency makes the automobile great for a crowded, polluted urban driving environment without sacrificing comfort or control. Featuring a conventional steering wheel, accelerator pedal, brake and clutch (it has a five-speed manual transmission), everything in the cockpit-like setting is easily within reach and easily manipulated. The “Dynamic Vehicle Control” (DVC) system uses electronic and hydraulic systems to bank the vehicle through turns making it very maneuverable in tight quarters, although sometimes it seemed a bit preemptive. Man, the PS2 just keeps on going, doesn’t it? This time round, Sony will be releasing a new Lego Batman PS2 bundle that sees the black colored PS2 paired with the upcoming Lego Batman game and a DVD version of the new Justice League: New Frontiers superhero movie. Other than the included bundle, everything else is the same including the single DualShock 2 gamepad as this bundle ships later in the fall for $149. I wonder who would pick up PS2s these days other than as replacements (or folks who are peeved that the newer 80GB PS3 does no backwards compatibility). It seems like Brando has another one of those weird-but-cool geeky items. Their latest product might not be that popular amongst users who are aiming to go on a diet, though. Their latest wrist rest comes shaped very much like a croissant, and even has a “real bread smell” to compliment it. Maybe the use of croissant is to remind users that the wrist rest is soft? Said wrist rest can be purchased now for $6. Tags: pvr, M4A, plasma, speakers (Read the full post about ‘Croissant Wrist Rest Looks Tasty’…)

by Joshua Fruhlinger, posted Jul 16th 2008 at 2:10AM Leave it to Asus to bust out a nice laptop that we can’t have — yet. The new F8Va, released in Korea only for now, packs an Intel Core Duo T9400 at 2.53GHz, 4GB DDR2 800 MHz RAM, a 320GB SATA spinner, ATI Radeon HD3650 GPU, and a 14-inch WXGA screen at 1440 x 900. To top it off, the F8Va includes a Blu-Ray combo drive, 1.3 megapixel camera, and HDMI out. It’s hitting Korea in July, but if / when it comes to the US, we’re probably looking at a $1299 price based on early reviews. Early test scores came in at 4103 3DMarks, an SM2.0 score of 1349, and a HDR/SM3.0 score of 1819. Drool over the info in the read links if you must.Read - Asus F8Va LaptopRead - Asus F8Va Montevin (Read the full post about ‘Asus unleashes F8Va laptop with HD3650 graphics, reviews and prices roll in’…)

Love model racing cars? You probably are, and chances are that if you are anything like me, you don’t have the money to go out and buy the ones that you lust after. I came across this awesome little Remote Controlled Lamborghini and fell in love with it. I am actually a child at heart, despite my age. As soon as I saw the Lamborghini it took me back to the elementary age when I was outside with my big brother creating dirt ramps for our remote controlled cars. How much fun was that? I don’t care how old you are, this is for folks of all ages! One thing to keep in mind is that this car does come in a variety of colors. I’m sure the paint color doesn’t impact the way the thing drives though. (Read the full post about ‘Remote Control Lamborghini Murcielado 1/10 Scale’…)
