There’s nothing quite like having some fun and games with your mates while you’re all busy knocking a few cold ones back. After all, there is only so much gossip that floats around, you might as well get involved in some sport while you’re drinking. The Port-O-Pong makes playing beer pong possible no matter where you are. Simply inflate the table and you’re off to the races. With the Port-O-Pong, you can play beer pong in the pool or set it on a small table. If there’s nothing to rest it on, use the four pieces of rope to hang it from the ceiling or a tent. The tough construction means your rowdy friends won’t ruin your portable beer pong table. (Read the full post about ‘Port-O-Pong Portable Beer Pong Table’…)

Finally, we see some semblance of unity in the world of consumer electronics as bigwigs such as Sony, Sharp, Hitachi, Samsung and Motorola have agreed upon a new wireless HD video standard that offers interoperable wireless video streaming. Amimom has annoucend the WHDI consortium that comprise of the above mentioned members among others to form a standardized wireless HD specification and embedding it within future TVs, projectors and HD video sources. Vantech has a brand new wireless mouse to keep the kid in you smiling, but it won’t do much for your street cred since it comes in the form of a plastic toy car. Known as the Minicute NANO, it will come in various designs, featuring a pretty high resolution of 1600 dpi (most optical mice I know come with 800 dpi on average). Each $39 purchase will come with a 2.4GHz nano receiver, letting you plug into any available USB port without having any fear or worry about it breaking off accidentally. NES games are phat as they have enough staying power to hang around for many a decade, and it is no wonder that plenty of emulators for it have been created to date. One of the more recent ones would be FireNES, a Firefox plugin that allows you to play a whole gamut of NES titles (up to a hundred or so of them to date which has been converted to accommodate this plugin) right on your browser. I’mnot too sure about the framerate, but it ought to be decent enough for you to complete a run of Super Mario Bros. DelFly Micro has released an image sensing mini dragonfly that tips the scales at just 3 grams, and you will be able to manually control it to capture video images that will be transferred back to your PC when it returns to its nest of operations, which is located at your desk. It makes me wonder how this functions in breezy areas, as something this small will certainly fail to go up against strong gusts of wind. It will be interesting to see what kind of range the DlyFly Micro has, but folks who love gossiping ought to be more wary from now on as such technology pervades society. After all, you wouldn’t want to be caught bad-mouthing your boss now, would you? (Read the full post about ‘DelFly Micro Image Sensing Mini Dragonfly’…)

According to the Radius site, the Atomic Bass is the “Official Headphone of the Hip-Hop Genre”. That has got to be one of the toughest slogans to prove, and I highly suggest they test its tonal balance on several hip-hop artists before they make that claim. However, after listening for myself, I definitely hear how good they are. The clear sound might have something to do with its unique shape. You can’t really see the angle in this photo, but it causes the headphone to penetrate the ear deeper. It almost feels like an ear plug the way it can cut off background noise. The headphones also have another unique look. Normally, when headphones branch out, the sections are equal. (Read the full post about ‘Atomic Bass Headphones from Radius’…)
